He gulped again before nodding quickly “I’ll make sure to remember that sir.” Momo hoped that Echizen would watch his mouth from now on.

“Che. You damn better, peach boy,” Nanjirou said as he shut his eyes and lay down again. “Alright, alright, you’ve made your peace pact of the moment. You can go run along now. Or wait for Ryoma to get home. Or whatever you want.”

He looked at Nanjirou “I can really stay here and wait for him?”

Nanjirou peeks at the boy with one eye again, before shrugging and shutting it again. “I don’t see why not. You intend on keeping yer word about everything else, don’t you?”

He nodded “Yes sir. I do. I know you’d hunt me down and kill me if I didn’t keep my word.”

Nanjirou chuckled and lazily waved a hand. “Then yeah, go ahead and wait for him if you want. Nanako’s making some food if you’re hungry. I don’t know if it has any peaches though.” 

He smiled then laughed “That’s ok if there aren’t any peaches in it. I like peaches but I’m not obsessed with them.”
